An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partner Assurance Manager - Auditor to join a rapidly expanding Payments company in Malta. This is an exciting role which reports into a Risk Manager and where you will be responsible of the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assurance process for clients in an array of Fintech, Crypto and other sectors. The Partner Assurance Manager will conduct audits both physically (in Spain, UK, USA, German and Nordic countries) and virtually on behalf of Programme Managers.  The perfect candidate will have Audit experience, ideally from within the Big4 and a thorough grounding in monitoring and testing effective controls. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing on-site visits (in Spain, UK, USA, German and Nordic countries) to build relationships and to assess clients’ business processes compliance with company requirements.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of controls in the areas of transaction monitoring, KYB/KYC process, GDPR compliance, data retention, reporting obligations, financial procedures, project management and security procedures.
  • Compiling regular audit reports and follow-ups on corrective actions.
  • Developing and communicating key policy and standard operating procedures to clients.
  • Work closely with other risk and control areas.
  • Provide expert assurance advice.
  • Manage multiple audits and activities at the same time.
  • Always embody corporate values.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 2:1 degree & at least 5 years working experience in financial services; with experience working in a successful regulated environment.
  • Experience of working within an audit and assurance team.
  • Specific experience of Anti-Money Laundering and counter-terrorism financing
  •  A strong understanding of the principles of audit management and a thorough grounding in monitoring and testing effective controls.
  •  Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a methodical, structured approach.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and make an informed judgement on the appropriate course of action.
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
