GRS have partnered up with a start-up Gaming company in Limassol and we are currently looking for an experienced Payments Analyst to join their small but growing team. As a Payments Analyst you will be responsible for analysing transaction data, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of payment processing costs. This role will focus on optimising payment flows, identifying inefficiencies, and providing insights to improve overall payment operations and cost management. Ideally, you should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with payment processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze transaction data to identify trends, success rates, failure points, and areas for optimization in payment processing.

Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations between internal payment records and PSP (Payment Service Provider) reports to ensure accuracy.

Cost Analysis: Track and evaluate PSP fees, interchange rates, chargebacks, and refund costs to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Fraud & Chargeback Monitoring: Monitor and analyze chargeback rates, fraud patterns, and risk exposure, providing recommendations to minimize losses.

Payment Provider Performance Evaluation: Assess PSPs' performance by analyzing approval rates, transaction fees, and settlement times to ensure optimal routing of transactions.

Collaboration with Finance & Compliance: Work closely with finance and compliance teams to ensure financial accuracy, reporting transparency, and regulatory adherence.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in payment processes, reporting methods, and reconciliation workflows.

KPI Tracking: Maintain dashboards and reports on key payment metrics such as acceptance rates, costs per transaction, and refund/chargeback ratios.

Settlement Monitoring: Ensure timely and accurate settlements from PSPs and banks, investigating discrepancies when necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in payments, finance, or reconciliation-related roles.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools.

Experience working with payment providers, acquirers, or PSP reconciliation processes.

Knowledge of card processing, interchange fees, and financial reporting.

Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends in large datasets.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with chargeback management and fraud prevention strategies is a plus.

Experience in the gaming, e-commerce, or fintech industries.

Understanding of payment processing regulations and compliance requirements.

Previous experience with payment reconciliation tools or ERP systems.
