Our esteemed client, a well-established Group of Companies based in Malta, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join the company. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of payroll for all employees. Experience using Talexio is essential, as payroll and attendance management are carried out through this system. While training will be provided, candidates must already be familiar with Talexio due to the workload and processing volume. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processing employee wages, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and statutory benefits accurately and within strict deadlines.
  • Ensuring compliance with Maltese employment law, tax regulations, and other payroll-related requirements.
  • Managing payroll through Talexio, ensuring all employee data is accurate.
  • Calculating hours worked, overtime, leave, and all pay-related elements in line with internal policies and Maltese legislation.
  • Deducting government taxes, Social Security contributions, and other authorised deductions.
  • Maintaining updated and accurate employee payroll records, including time and attendance, tax forms, and leave records.
  • Handling and resolving employee payroll queries in a clear, professional, and timely manner.
  • Preparing payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries as requested.
  • Supporting payroll processes for other small associated companies as part of the group structure.
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (considered an asset).
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Talexio is required.
  • Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or finance will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems, timekeeping software, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of Maltese payroll rules, employment legislation, tax regulations, and SSC contributions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and teamwork.
  • Flexible, organised, and able to adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
