On behalf of our client a corporate services provider, we have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & HR Executive to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and people - combining precision in payroll with hands-on HR support. As a key member of the HR team, you’ll lead the monthly payroll process while supporting day-to-day HR operations. You’ll work closely with internal departments, external clients, and local authorities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a smooth employee experience.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLIES
	- Manage and calculate monthly payroll for company employees in line with local legislation and internal policies.
 
	- Gather and maintain employee payroll-related data and system profiles.
 
	- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including Jobsplus updates and HRIS entries.
 
	- Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting Team to process client payrolls and liaise with clients as needed.
 
	- Handle monthly and annual FSS submissions (FS5s, FS3s, FS7s).
 
	- Liaise with authorities such as CfR and the Social Security Department.
 
	- Respond promptly to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
 
	- Prepare and issue payroll reports for internal and regulatory use.
 
	- Manage work permit applications and renewals for new and existing employees.
 
	- Maintain up-to-date Payroll and HR policies and procedures.
 
	- Support the HR team with other departmental duties as required.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
	- Minimum 2 years’ experience in local payroll processing.
 
	- Strong knowledge of Maltese labour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance standards.
 
	- Highly organised, meticulous, and methodical with the ability to work under pressure.
 
	- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written fluency in English).
 
	- Comfortable working independently and handling confidential information.
 
	- Experience with BambooHR is considered an asset.
