The successful candidate will ensure compliance of monthly payroll tax deductions with local regulations and will be a holder of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field with 2-3 years previous experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure accurate and complete input of all data in the company’s payroll software system and timely preparation of all employees’ compensation by the end of each month using the payroll software.

Ensure compliance of monthly payroll tax deductions with local regulations.

Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts, IDs, home addresses and tax identification numbers) into the company’s payroll software system.

Assist employees with potential questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions.

Liaise with HR department ahead of each month-end to coordinate on all payroll changes including new employees, terminated employees, salary increases, bonuses and provident fund deductions.

Liaise with HR department to coordinate with the finance department any travel allowances and other travel-related expenses for employees travelling abroad for business purposes.

Prepare final payroll report to be sent to the company’s insurance company for the correct implementation of the monthly provident fund deductions per employee.

Maintain an employee employment tenure log to ensure the HR and finance teams are timely alerted ahead of each employee’s 6-month contract review as stipulated in each employee’s employment contract so prompt action can be taken.

Timely update of Ergani system with all relevant employee information as required by local government regulations.

Keep up to date with changes and developments in the local employment framework and ensure timely implementation of any changes in taxes and other deductions in the company’s payroll system as well as changes in the requirements of employee information for the Ergani system.

Other ad hoc payroll-related requests that might come from time to time from the CFO.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field

At least 2-3 years proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role

Hands-on experience with a payroll software

Good knowledge of local employment legislation

Ability to handle confidential information

Time-management skills

Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors

Fluency in English is a must

Fluency in Microsoft Excel
