On behalf of our client, a successful freight forwarding company based in Limassol, GRS are seeking a Port and Shipping Operations Officer. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Greek, have a bachelor’s degree, and have at least 1 year of experience in shipping/port operations. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide updated information to principals and masters before, during vessel’s calls and after sailing.

Arrange berthing/ unberthing of vessels without delay and availability of equipment and personnel as may be needed.

Assist with loading/ unloading of cargo operations.

Liaise with customs authorities and arrange for clearance and storage of cargo.

Visit quayside, board the vessel and attend to master’s requirements.

Make all efforts to assist with vessel activities, movements and cargo operations in order to meet vessel schedules and deliverables.

Assist with crew changes and port immigration formalities.

Promptly prepare all documentation and update the authorities’ operating system with necessary information/documentation.

Be available to work AOH/ Weekends/ Holidays if needed
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor degree
-
A minimum of 1 year experience in shipping/ port operations

Good knowledge of computers

Very good written and verbal Greek and English

Ability to work under pressure

Team player with positive attitude

Willingness to handle routine functions

Well-presented, with good manners

Good co-ordination skills
-
Willingness to work out of normal office hours.
