A long-established Professional Services company with offices globally are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Portfolio Manager for their Cyprus based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing passive investment portfolios in accordance with the company’s clients' objectives and risk profiles. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing efficient investment strategies, tracking market indices, and optimizing portfolio performance while minimizing tracking error and transaction costs. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement passive investment strategies tailored to meet clients' investment objectives and risk preferences.
- Monitor market indices and asset allocations, and rebalance portfolios as needed to maintain target exposures and minimize tracking error.
- Conduct performance attribution analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of passive investment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, providing regular updates on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment strategy insights.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in investing, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Contribute to the development of investment policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks related to the investment strategies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) will be considered an advantage.
- CySEC Advanced Certificate is a must.
- CySEC AML Certificate would be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in portfolio management preferably within an AIFM, investment management firm, or financial institution with exposure to alternative investment strategies.
- Strong understanding of alternative investment strategies.
- Strong understanding of the Cyprus Fund Industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex investment concepts and market insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in portfolio construction and management.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of portfolio management and client interactions.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
