GRS Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing private school for an ambitious and motivated educator to join its expanding Cambridge Primary School as Vice Principal. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced primary educator who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop into a senior school leadership role. The successful candidate will join the school with a clear pathway to becoming Primary School Principal, supported by structured mentoring, professional development and increasing leadership responsibility.
 
Your Leadership Journey
Year 1 – Vice Principal | Leadership Development Year
  • You will work closely with the school’s leadership team, receiving dedicated mentoring and support while gradually taking on greater academic, operational and leadership responsibilities.
Year 2 onwards – Primary School Principal
  • Subject to successful performance and demonstrated readiness, you will progress into the role of Primary School Principal, taking responsibility for the overall leadership and development of the Primary School.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
During your development year, you will:
  • Support the leadership and day-to-day management of the Primary School.
  • Support the delivery and development of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
  • Support teacher development, mentoring and ongoing professional growth.
  • Help maintain high standards of student wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider school community.
  • Contribute to school improvement planning and development initiatives.
  • Gradually assume greater academic, operational and leadership responsibilities.
  • Work towards becoming fully prepared and confident to lead the Primary School independently.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • We are looking for an experienced and passionate primary educator with the ambition and potential to become an outstanding school leader.
You will ideally have:
  • A relevant university degree in Education / Pedagogy, or an equivalent qualification recognised by KY.S.A.T.S.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in primary education.
  • A strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership or management experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • A clean criminal record and all required safeguarding clearances.
