On behalf of our Client, a well-established Construction company, GRS are seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join their continuously expanding team in Larnaca. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Procurement Officer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Observe and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to procurement
  • Strategic sourcing; negotiation of pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continued improvement of procurement related working instructions and guidelines
  • Supplier Relationship management, performance reporting, reviews and materials management
  • Close cooperation with all company departments to ensure shipment of spares, stores and consumable in timely manner
  • Actively drive cost reductions and increase value for money while championing opportunities for improvement
  • Rate suppliers basis price / performance criteria
  • Engagement with internal stakeholders across the business to develop and maintain effective, efficient and cooperative working relationships
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Procurement or Supply Chain related fields
  • Proven experience & results in end-to-end procurement
  • The ability to demonstrate experience across all Procurement fundamentals – sourcing, tending, contracts, category and in-directs commodity management, market research analysis, reporting and negotiations
  • Strong understanding of indirect costs associated with, Plant & Equipment, Tools
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with local and international stakeholders at all levels
  • Drive continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance
  • High level ability to collate and write requirements documents
  • Ability to establish and embed a strong negotiation and consultation skill set
  • Proven examples of analytical, qualitative and quantitative abilities
  • Ability to travel abroad if and when required
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Should have a pro-active attitude to work
  • Ability to maintain high levels of concentration
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team
