GRS Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an innovative technology company transforming the global maritime industry . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join a growing Product team and play a key role in shaping the future of a cutting-edge digital platform used by customers around the world. Working closely with customers, stakeholders, and software development teams, you'll bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring product features are aligned with customer needs and business objectives. This role combines traditional Product Ownership with elements of Business Analysis and Agile delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating across teams while driving product innovation.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business goals.
  • Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements to support efficient development.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and development teams to translate business challenges into scalable product solutions.
  • Support Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance through reporting, analytics, and customer feedback, using data to influence product decisions.
  • Ensure product features are clearly defined, well documented, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Validate completed functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria before release.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Previous experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience managing and prioritising product backlogs.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven ability to write user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience translating business requirements into actionable development tasks.
  • Comfortable working closely with software development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience using reporting, dashboards, and data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Product Owner or Scrum certifications (CSPO, PSPO, Scrum Master, or equivalent).
  • Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of maritime, shipping, logistics, port operations, invoicing, or financial workflows.
  • Experience working with financial data, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of SaaS product development and software delivery lifecycles.
  • Experience with low-code development platforms would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • €28,000 - €35,000 Gross Per Annum
