Our client a leading financial services company is looking for a Product Owner to join their team in Malta. Reporting to the Director in the Analytics department, the selected candidate will be an addition to strengthen its Data Management & Analytics section and will be primarily responsible for assisting in the administration of the Centralised Bank Account Register. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead daily tasks, including user onboarding and training; monitoring submissions and user access and serving as a contact point for reporting entities, authorities, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the register by identifying areas for improvement (process-wise and technology-wise) and eliciting user feedback
  • Maintain and prioritise a product backlog that accurately reflects incoming regulations and users’ needs
  • Translate concepts into requirements specifications and work closely with developers in the design and testing of new features
  • Oversee quality and completeness of data submitted by reporting entities by refining data validation processes, providing guidance and performing ad-hoc checks
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures related to the register are documented, up-to-date,and accessible to all relevant stakeholders
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree at a National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Risk Management, Financial Services, Auditing, Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence
  • Proven work experience of a minimum of two years within the regulated sector
  • (preferably, financial services), an authority or a similar set-up
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ideally having experience in one of the following domains: service management, product ownership or compliance
  • Conversant with database concepts and queries
  • Familiarity with the relevant EU Directives and related domestic legislation that govern financial services
  • Conversant with database concepts and queries
  • Experience with data validation, data analysis, requirements analysis, and user acceptance testing
