Our client a well with an established portfolio in the construction, alteration, and renovation of residential complex and business properties are working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Quantity Surveyor(MEP Engineer). The selected candidate will be involved in all phases of a facility's lifecycle such as feasibility, design, construction, extension, refurbishment, maintenance, and demolition. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for construction, estimation, and management of building contracts for clients, pricing and tendering for projects

Ensure compliance with local and national legal requirements

Confirm adherence to construction specifications and safety standards

Monitor project progress, inspecting construction sites on the Maltese islands

Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions
-
Maintain operations by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures
-
Direct, monitor and control the activities of subcontractors to provide and adhere to relevant quality documentation/records and project safety regulations

Liaise with consultant MEP supervisory engineers, inspectors, and relevant staff.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering

Possess a valid warrant to practice in Malta an ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and the confidence and maturity to deal with all levels of staff (preference shall be given to candidates who are able to communicate in Maltese)

Be able to analyse issues, use multiple sources of information to develop solutions, and provide pragmatic recommendations

Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks and projects

The ability to take the initiative but keep others informed of progress

An excellent team player
