GRS are looking to recruit a Radiology Specialist to work within a highly specialized radiology department in Denmark’s public healthcare sector. The radiology department works with image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ranging from ultrasound to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scan and X-rays besides many other procedures. As a radiologist, you will work closely together with many other medical specialists from other departments, besides radiographers and with nurses. The ideal candidate will be specialized in Radiology and has an interest or experience in nuclear medicine or oncoradiology and PET/CT, or mamma-, onco-, uro-, thorax, or interventional radiology. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluating patients’ medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will not harm them.
  • Suggesting alternative medical imaging techniques, when necessary.
  • Informing patients about the medical imaging process.
  • Using devices such as computer tomography (CT) scanners and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines.
  • Performing or directing radiology staff to carry out image-guided, diagnostic procedures.
  • Working with radiology lab technicians to perfect image quality.
  • Interpreting the results from diagnostic imaging procedures to determine diagnoses.
  • Communicating and discussing results and diagnoses with physicians.
  • Compiling written reports of results and diagnoses.
  • Following medical protocols for resuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations, when necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Specialized in Radiology
  • Necessary degree and/or certifications
  • You have interest or experience in nuclear medicine or oncoradiology and PET/CT, or mamma-, onco-, uro-, thorax, or interventional radiology
  • Motivated for living and working abroad
  • Able to take part in our free intensive language course in Danish
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
