A global Accountancy Firm is looking for a Regulatory and Compliance Consultant to join their team in Malta. We are seeking a pro- active individual with GDPR regulatory experience to join our clients team, where you will form part of a team and be involved in a wide range of responsibilities relating to compliance. If you have 1 – 2 years’ experience in compliance and GDPR, GRS look forward to receiving your CV for this Malta based Regulatory and Compliance Consultant role.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a front in assisting and supporting clients to develop an understanding of operational processes and controls, and support in assessing their effectiveness in mitigating Compliance-related risks
  • Carry out Compliance-related readiness assessments at clients
  • Support clients with various compliance-related customer queries and complaints
  • Create and deliver clients’ employee training and awareness
  • Develop relevant policies, procedures and standards
  • Provide ongoing compliance support to clients
  • Develop and maintain a strong communication channel with clients at all times
  • Liaise with the firm’s IT / Cyber Security team on information security aspects of client engagements.
  • Participate in conferences to share the RSM brand and presence within the field
  • Exposure to not only GDPR engagements but to other engagements in various sectors including gaming, AML and financial services.
CANDIDATE PROFILE 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in GDPR Compliance
  • An understanding of regulatory compliance, investigation or audit
  • Be a team player, have a can-do attitude and has an eye for detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable in presenting to and dealing with all levels of staff
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and projects
  • Propensity and willingness to take a proactive approach with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, driven to excellence and a keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to learn and aptitude for acquiring new competencies
  • Candidates with a diploma or degree in Law, or a certification in Data Protection, or in possession of post-secondary qualifications with relevant experience in Data Protection Compliance will be advantageous
