A global Accountancy Firm is looking for a Regulatory and Compliance Consultant to join their team in Malta. We are seeking a pro- active individual with GDPR regulatory experience to join our clients team, where you will form part of a team and be involved in a wide range of responsibilities relating to compliance. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a front in assisting and supporting clients to develop an understanding of operational processes and controls, and support in assessing their effectiveness in mitigating Compliance-related risks

Carry out Compliance-related readiness assessments at clients

Support clients with various compliance-related customer queries and complaints

Create and deliver clients’ employee training and awareness

Develop relevant policies, procedures and standards

Provide ongoing compliance support to clients

Develop and maintain a strong communication channel with clients at all times

Liaise with the firm’s IT / Cyber Security team on information security aspects of client engagements.

Participate in conferences to share the RSM brand and presence within the field

Exposure to not only GDPR engagements but to other engagements in various sectors including gaming, AML and financial services.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in GDPR Compliance

An understanding of regulatory compliance, investigation or audit
-
Be a team player, have a can-do attitude and has an eye for detail.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable in presenting to and dealing with all levels of staff

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and projects
-
Propensity and willingness to take a proactive approach with minimal supervision
-
Self-motivated, driven to excellence and a keen eye for detail

Willingness to learn and aptitude for acquiring new competencies
-
Candidates with a diploma or degree in Law, or a certification in Data Protection, or in possession of post-secondary qualifications with relevant experience in Data Protection Compliance will be advantageous
