As the Retail Lending Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Retail Lending Department, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant, and customer-focused lending solutions. Working closely with Senior Management, you will oversee lending operations, manage credit risk, mentor your team, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the Retail Lending Department, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
- Assess, evaluate, and approve retail loan applications and credit facilities within delegated lending authority.
- Conduct detailed credit assessments, analyse financial information, and make informed lending decisions.
- Manage and optimise the retail lending portfolio, maintaining strong portfolio quality and effective risk management.
- Oversee the entire lending lifecycle, from application through to approval and disbursement.
- Monitor loan performance and proactively identify, manage, and resolve emerging credit risks or delinquent accounts.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and lending legislation.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing lending team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare management reports, portfolio analysis, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing trusted financial guidance and an outstanding customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to grow the retail lending portfolio and contribute to the development of new lending products, services, and operational improvements.
- Partner with Senior Management to develop lending strategies that support the company's long-term business objectives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in retail lending, credit analysis, or banking, including experience managing or supervising a team.
- Strong knowledge of retail lending practices, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, commercial, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in both Greek and English, written and spoken.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- € 32,000 - €36,400 Gross Per Annum
