A leading international marine insurance company providing P&I, FD&D and War Risks cover to their international membership, are working with GRS to recruit a Risk & Compliance Support, to complete a 1-year contract for their Limassol operation. The successful candidate will understand sanctions regulations and checks and be immediately available to commence the assignment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To assist with due diligence / know your customer (KYC) enquiries for new and existing Assureds.
  • To review daily/weekly Geollect ‘sanctions’ alerts.
  • To conduct proactive research to identify members or counterparties that may be engaged in sanctions.
  • To provide feedback and escalate issues identified to the Sanctions Claims Team and/or Sanctions Compliance Team.
  • To monitor the communication and correspondence between the Club and its members or other counterparties through the Spire email account.
  • To perform analysis, investigation, research and evaluation of the Spire reports and evidence provided by the Club’s Assureds.
  • To present recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions of Management.
  • To work closely with the Claims, Underwriting and Risk and Compliance function ensuring they are fully informed of issues arising.
  • To complete administration, such as record-keeping and reporting to Management.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Understanding of Sanctions regulations.
  • Immediately available.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communications skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience in sanctions checks and/or in shipping industry would be preferred.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
