GRS Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Manager to join a reputable legal company based in Nicosia. The role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and effective risk management framework that ensures identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of all risks across the Company’s operations. The Risk Manager will support the organization’s compliance with applicable CySEC regulations, MiCA obligations, and internal risk appetite by overseeing market, credit, operational, and strategic risk domains. The role involves direct reporting to senior management and the Board, contributing to the Company’s long-term resilience and regulatory alignment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain the company’s risk management framework in line with CySEC regulations.

Conduct ongoing risk assessments across the market, credit, liquidity, operational, and reputational risks.

Maintain the risk register and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

Perform stress testing and scenario analysis for market impacts.

Monitor compliance with risk appetite and tolerance levels.

Ensure accurate risk reporting to senior management and the Board.

Oversee capital adequacy, ICAAP, and Pillar I-III risk filings.

Coordinate internal audits and regulatory interactions.

Work with Compliance and Audit teams for integrated risk oversight.

Serve as secretary of the Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC).

Train staff on risk management principles and practices.

Apply and manage risk tools and technologies including Excel, BI, and VBA.

Update risk policies in line with EU and local regulatory changes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.

Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CySEC Advanced Certificate are preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in financial services.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles.

Knowledge of MiCA, CySEC regulations, and crypto compliance best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and sound judgment.

Proficiency in risk tools (Excel, BI, VBA).

Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
