On behalf of our client a global trade finance company, GRS are seeking to recruit a Russian speaking Accountant for their offices based in the heart of Nicosia. The successful candidate will have a degree in Accounting or related field and have a minimum of 5 years’ previous experience, with a language fluency in Russian and English with Greek also being advantageous. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for managing all day-to-day financial transactions, including Managing and overseeing expenditures, and cash requirements, identifying areas for streamlining, responding to managerial and/or family requests and inquiries, and reviewing and developing regular reporting tools
  • Daily bookkeeping in the accounting software
  • Reconciliation of Suppliers, Clients, and Banks
  • Preparation and submission of the VAT Returns
  • Preparation of the Cash flow, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet
  • Assist the Auditors in regard to the annual audit of the companies and Annual Tax Return
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Deal with financial transactions and documents
  • Liaise with Local Authorities (i.e., Social Insurance, tax authorities)
  • Liaising with external parties such as banks, trustees, vendors, and insurance agents
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Lending support with various ad-hoc requests (e.g., presentations, tax reports, special projects)
  • Knowledge of corporate documents (CY, UK)
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Similar experience (5+ years)
  • Experience in Internal Accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Fluent Russian & English required, Greek would be an Advantage
  • Strong QuickBooks and Microsoft Office skills are important, especially Excel
  • Trusted and reliable person
  • Capability to work under pressure
  • Ability to research complex accounting issues.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Extensive personal and business financial statement experience
  • Ability to logically solve problems
  • Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information
