On behalf of our client, a Brokerage Firm located in Limassol, GRS are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Back-Office Specialist to join their team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for matters relating to the Company`s compliance obligations regarding safeguarding of client financial instruments and funds
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of cash/securities balances and open positions between internal accounts and between internal accounts and external sources and reports of external financial service providers
  • Investigate and resolve regulatory reporting exceptions through efficient liaison and escalation with multiple parties including clients, trade repositories, internal data suppliers, counterparties
  • Discharge where necessary and appropriate trade and transaction reporting obligations
  • Communicate with main brokers, custodians, counterparties, banks, etc. in terms of business relationship set-up, opening accounts, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy of static data maintenance
  • Conduct statistical reports as required by the Regulator
  • Assist in provision of responses to regulatory, brokers’, counterparties’ inquiries with regard to transaction reporting
  • Perform analysis related to trade support data and testing procedures
  • Ensure reconciliation procedure
  • Carry on transfers of cash or securities to market intermediaries, banking institutions and other financial service providers, exchanges, clearing and settlement agencies. This includes procuring timely payment of business expenses related to the regulated activities.
  • Ad hoc projects as and when required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Economics or technical sciences or other form of education providing essential understanding in functioning of financial institutes, financial/investment products and services, securities, capital markets, etc.
  • CySEC Certificate or readiness to pass the CySEC exam within half a year
  • Previous professional experience of minimum 3 years in regulated investment companies or custodians in relevant positions/departments (operations, back-office, capital markets/ financial instruments)
  • Have a practical understanding of financial and custodial (securities) settlements, strong knowledge of CIF regulatory requirements in the part related to the main duties
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal. Fluency in Russian language will be considered as a major advantage

  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
