A global crane specialist with expertise in marine, offshore, port and shipyards, construction and industrial sector are working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Sales Manager for their Limassol office. The successful candidate will have extensive business development experience in the maritime sector. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, holding teams meetings; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Collaborates with global ALATAS stations to plan sales activities for key accounts, ensure high standard of service delivery, gauge client feedback
  • Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalising on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and the lowest rate of customer defection without sacrificing profitability.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are investigated and promptly resolved. Maintain a register of incidents and record all details impartially and comprehensively. Set up systems to minimise and eradicate causes of such complaints.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Selling and marketing skills, knowledge and experience in the shipping industry
  • Vast network of contacts in purchasing, technical management, superintendents, fleet managers etc. in the shipping sector.
  • Experience and knowledge of modern business methods and controls.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with strong communication skills both internal and external
  • Exceptional customer facing and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to negotiate effectively and at a high level together with good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant shipping standards/legislation and trade practices.
