GRS is working in partnership with a global pioneering energy leader who is currently seeking a Sample Catcher to work on a temporary contract in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be assisting Engineers with the collection of mud samples and cuttings and helping them in the maintenance of all the equipment installed around the designated rig. For this role, GRS is seeking a candidate who is available for an immediate start with experience in the Energy/Oil/Gas sector along with relevant offshore certificates. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collects cuttings sample
• Washes, dries and screens samples, divide them into correct portions and packs them by sets for clients, partners and trade
• Responsible for alerting when noticing unusual cuttings sizes and shape, lack of cuttings whilst drilling, gas cut mud ,and visual inspection of gas sampling apparatus at the shakers
• Assists the field specialist/engineer trainees in monitoring the well and in the maintenance of the equipment.
• Aware of safety regulations and procedures, as specified by the Client, Geoservices, relevant safety authorities and respect safety regulations in all.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• MUST have BOSIET Certification with CA-EBS, OGUK, TB test
• Available for immediate start
• MUST be living in Cyprus with valid work permit
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex fast paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of well site operations is a minimum requirement.
• Good numeracy, literacy, and organizational skills.
