The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, with working knowledge of satellite technology and GEO satellite communications. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the sales team in closing new opportunities and supporting/expanding existing customers for complex and bespoke requirements.

Develop and present solution demonstrations and proof of concept campaigns and answer technical questions about the capabilities and features of company products for complex and bespoke requirements.

Understand customer requirements at a system level and translate these into appropriate technology designs that meet the customers’ needs.

Ensure the viability of the proposed solution and provide direction, advice and guidance on the appropriate approach to the solution throughout the project working in conjunction with other technical teams, subject matter experts and project managers.

Maintain and enhance the current system level design of the company using models and creative processes to enable new solution designs within the company system; both on the ground and in space.

Create documentation for solution design, configuration, testing and results analysis for new and existing technologies.

Maintain awareness of technology trends –both in space and on the ground and assist in the development of new products.

Ensure technical solutions are feasible and can deliver against Service Level Agreements.

Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and management of the company system by actively keeping up to date the design details, analysis and architecture of the company satellite fleet and ground systems in the company System Wiki.

Support major anomaly and incident investigations as the engineering design authority.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Appropriate engineering or science degree.
-
Experience and knowledge of architecture, design, development and testing of complex satellite communications systems and solutions.

Proven experience in satellite communications systems engineering, specialising in GEO satellite communications.

SATCOMs link design principles.
-
Sound understanding of risk management principles.
-
Experience of planning and delivering complex development programmes.

Demonstrable knowledge and experience designing and integrating Complex satellite communications systems.

Ability to review and challenge suppliers on their technical products, reports and observed performance.

Understand nuances of system limitations and behaviours at system level.
-
Knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering in order to be able to lead and deliver Complex Systems Programmes.

Work with potential suppliers to understand the benefits, performance and growth paths for their product.

Ability to work within and sometimes lead a small team to complete the required accountabilities in a professional and timely manner.

Ability to produce reports and presentations clearly showing analysis and suggestions to stakeholders, internally and externally.

Experience of working on multiple projects/tasks.

Good command of the English language (both written and verbal).

Prioritisation and organisational skills.

A European national or hold a valid VISA to work in Cyprus.

Strong communication, presentational and interpersonal skills.
