On behalf of our client, a well-established supplier of medical & scientific instrumentation and services company, GRS are seeking to recruit a Scientific Support & Applications Department Officer to join their team in Nicosia. The successful candidate's role will be working with individuals within the department and also guiding them on a number of occasions to serve the needs of the three key pillars of the department. The successful candidate will be required to research/study/propose new products and equipment in the health sector in general, and in particular for research laboratories involved in the field of Biology and should be a person who is willing to continuously learn about new processes/methods/equipment and to address new problems and challenges. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicating with partners - suppliers to obtain information/knowledge about equipment and products and respectively share them with colleagues in other departments in the form of training.
  • Creating and conducting presentations on innovative products by organising customer training workshops.
  • Provide scientific customer support as far as results/faults are concerned and liaise with manufacturer if further investigation is required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments to find solutions regarding problematic products and recommend to management new products that will provide quality advantages over existing products.
  • Educate colleagues and end users on the operation and applications of the analysts to ensure correct use always in accordance with the manufacturer.
  • Troubleshooting (by telephone) problems that may occur to the user regarding the correct operation of the equipment.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • BA / MA / PhD in Molecular Biology / Chemistry or similar discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
  • Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Analytical and creative thinking
