A Limassol based Payments company is working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to take ownership of critical accounting and reconciliation processes within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding client funds, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the organization’s compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements. By combining technical accounting expertise with strong analytical and organizational skills, this position contributes directly to informed decision-making and the overall financial health of the business while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitoring and review of daily clients’ funds reconciliation.

Responsibility to investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Preparing various reports related to client funds safeguarding, balances and processing.

Monitoring of client fund balances and assessment and recalculation of settlement amounts to merchants.

Oversee and review financial records processed from Bookkeeping Department to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the accounting system.

Handle the receivables cycle of the entity ensuring issuance of invoices and collection of receivable balances.

Ensure accuracy and processing of acquiring related activity to the accounting system.

Review timely preparation and submissions of VAT and VIES returns in compliance with Cyprus tax regulations, as well as to coordinate with tax consultants on all tax-related matters.

Manage monthly management accounts (balance sheet, profit/loss statements, etc) to provide insights to the management team. Ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting standards

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting-related queries.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

University degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Mathematics or another related field.

Newly ACA, ACCA or C.P.A. qualified will be considered an advantage.

Experience in client fund reconciliation within a financial institution/payment processor or forex/gambling industries will be considered an advantage.

Knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.

Experience with NetSuite accounting software will be considered an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
