Our client, a reputable Financial Services company based in Nicosia, is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will become part of a professional team of accountants and tax experts, offering an excellent opportunity for guidance, professional growth, and development in both accounting and taxation. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Head Office in Nicosia.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and record of bookkeeping transactions where necessary

Perform specific accounting procedures and maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with IFRS

Assist with the accounting of complex entities, including financial instruments, trading companies, and VAT/VIES registered companies

Ensure accounting file is complete by guiding the team in providing accurate information and supporting documentations to auditors

Provide on-the-job training and supervision of junior accountants
-
Assist with annual audit engagements and liaise between external auditors and client

Provide assistance and support to other team accountants, as requested

Assist with special studies and projects, assigned
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
3+ years relevant experience in a professional accounting environment, audit experience will be considered an advantage

Experience in supervising and coaching junior accountants

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Greek

Excellent organisational and multitasking skill, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks effectively

Strong technical and analytical skills, particularly in IFRS

Proficient use of Microsoft Office particularly MS Excel (sorting, pivot tables)

Working experience with Caseware is essential; knowledge of Navision software will be considered an advantage

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

ACCA/ACA partly qualified or newly qualified
SALARY AND BENEFITS

€28,000 - €35,000 Gross Per Annum
