GRS Recruitment are working with a group of companies committed to transforming the energy landscape with its sustainable and renewable solutions are looking for a Senior Accountant in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will be assisting the CFO in budget creation and preparation and submission of VAT (OSS, IOSS) and VIES declarations. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Providing training and guidance to junior accountants, as well as reviewing their journal entries for accuracy
  • Day to day book-keeping and accounts reconciliations (customer, vendor, bank)
  • Performs and reviews banking transactions
  • Managing month-end and year-end financial closings
  • Coordinating with external auditors for Company’s annual audits
  • Make recommendations on internal procedures to improve efficiency
  • Performing any other relevant duties requested by the CFO
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in English and Greek languages (both verbal and written)
  • ACA/ ACCA/ CPA
  • Prior background in a comparable position, with approximately 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to driving process improvement and organizational success.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced user of MS Excel, including the use of formulas and pivot tables)
  • Detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results
