You will report to the AML Manager and perform supervisory duties and assist with the overall development and strategies of the Anti-Money Laundering Unit. The ideal candidate will

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the AML Manager on the day to day operational and strategical matters;

Contribute to the development and growth of the AML/CFT Unit;

Assist and where necessary, spearhead initiatives and projects interrelated to the evolvement of the AML Unit;

Manage the AML Executives/Officers’ tasks and performance;

Lead and supervise the AML Executives/Officers with AML/CFT compliance examinations conducted on Gaming Licensees, independently or jointly with the FIAU;

Draft, review and sign detailed reports of the findings identified during AML/CFT examinations in a timely manner;

Present the findings together with supporting evidence to the relevant administrative and/or judicial bodies;

Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders on AML matters and queries;

Attend and represent the firm in meetings and conferences both local and abroad, when necessary; and
-
Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
In possession of a Degree related to the role. Candidates with degrees in the following fields will be given preference: Law, Accounts, IT and Criminology;

Excellent report writing skills;

Ability to organise and present findings and recommendations in a logical and comprehensible manner (both verbal and written);

Excellent command of English language (both written and spoken);

At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar role;

A minimum of one (1) year experience in a people / team leadership position;

Strategic, critical and analytical thinking;
-
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment;

Ability to take ownership and act in line with agreed KPIs;

Leadership skills and ownership of work and projects; and
-
Sound knowledge of AML/CFT Laws and Regulations governing the EU and Malta.
