On behalf of our client a well-established tax, legal advisory, and corporate services firm providing a wide range of services to both local and international clients, GRS are seeking to recruit a Senior Risk & Compliance Associate for their Malta-based offices. The successful applicant will have at least 2 year’s previous experience within the financial industry and ideally have MQF or Risk or Fraud related or AML qualification. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • A minimum of two years of working experience in a similar or related role within the financial industry
  • Assist in fulfilling the Firms compliance with various laws, rules and regulations as directed by the Compliance Manager
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments
  • Identify compliance and regulatory risks and assist in the improvement, introduction, and monitoring of controls to mitigate such risks
  • Support the Firm in sustaining a sound compliance framework in general across all the Firms operations and staff
  • Provide compliance-related support to other departments
  • Assist in addressing all regulatory requests for information, data, reporting etc
  • Supporting the team in regulatory compliance documentation
  • Maintaining comprehensive and proper documentation records of all customer interactions and due diligence
  • Assist in opening bank accounts for clients
  • Other related tasks as may be required from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Strong drive for results and target-oriented
  • A minimum of two years of working experience in a similar or related role within the financial industry
  • Possession of MQF level 5 or (preferred) in risk management and/ or Anti financial crime, AML, or other related qualifications would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience of KYC procedures, specifically due diligence requirements 
  • Strong organization and communication skills (both English and Maltese)
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Be meticulous and have great attention to detail
  • MS Office application proficiency and other office-related applications
