An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Auditor to join a global Accounting & Advisory firm in Malta. The role is to perform external audit work for a diversified portfolio of clients. The perfect candidate will have a degree in Accounting or be part way through the ACCA and have 4 years’ experience in Audit. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audits

Undertake statutory audits of financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and Accounting

Prepare financial statements in line with IFRS/GAPSE/GAPSME
-
Actively manage relationship with clients

Demonstrate management skills and effectively manage own time across different engagements
-
Monitor the progress of the audit engagement against the audit plan
-
Any other duties as may be assigned, subject to these being within the professional competency of the candidate
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Be qualified accountants (Masters in Accountancy or ACCA), although due consideration will also be given to candidates who are at an advanced stage in their ACCA qualification process

4-5 years proven work experience in performing external audit work

Able to handle assignments on their own as well as within a collaborative and team environment

Possess pleasant client-facing techniques
-
Focused on reaching deadlines and in handling the pressure of work, especially during the busy season

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in English
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

The right disposition to keep on learning and nurturing one’s own career within the firm
-
Be conversant with International Auditing Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards
-
An organized and meticulous individual and with a mindset of a “complete-finisher”

Own a car and a clean driving license
