GRS Recruitment are working in partnership with a growing brand in Limassol who are searching for a Senior Backend Developer to join the team. Our client who are expanding their operations in Cyprus offer a number of solutions on a global level including banking services, FX and fund administration. The successful candidate will use their knowledge and skills to help develop and maintain the existing code base for their existing cutting-edge platform as well as assist in building new features and products. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable, testable, and scalable code.

Participate in planning, design, testing, and code review.

Build rapid prototypes and work on fast paced projects.

Work effectively within a cross-functional multi-site team.

Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.

Inspire and mentor junior engineers on best practices and professional conduct.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Commercial experience in at least one of the following: Python, Java, C#.
-
Must have at least 2 solid years of experience with Python as this is our primary programming language.

Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL or similar).

Proficient experience with software development tools such as Git and Gitlab.

Experience working with Linux operating systems.
-
Experience working with Docker would be beneficial.

Knowledge or experience with Azure or AWS cloud environments.

Comprehensive understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems.

Promotes working within an Agile environment using the Scrum framework.
