The successful candidate will be working closely with several Financial Institutions such as Investment Firms, Funds, Payment and Electronic Money Institutions and require to have a good knowledge and execution of the CySec regulations, preferably as consultants. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft, review and update manuals, policies, processes, and procedures with respect to the operations

Perform regular monitoring to ensure that compliance standards and obligations are adhered
-
Conduct onsite and desk-based inspections on compliance matters
-
Ensure Financial Institutions fulfil their annual obligations and license conditions
-
Provide advice and solutions to Financial Institutions on compliance queries/issues
-
Work as part of a compliance experts team and coordinate with other departments
-
Communicate, on behalf of Financial Institutions, with regulatory and other local and EU authorities
-
Communicate with personnel and management
-
Communicate with local and EU Banking institutions in accommodating the banking needs
-
Prepare applications and notifications to the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission
-
Draft and review annual reports on Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering (‘AML’) matters
-
Conduct AML checks and reviews and undertake client identification and due diligence of CIFs’ clients
-
Review and analyse new regulations and advise accordingly
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or Law or related degree from a reputable UK university
-
First or Upper second-class honours
-
Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an advantage
-
Previous Experience in consulting will be preferable
-
CySEC certificate (Basic or Advanced) will be considered as an advantage
-
Excellent command of the English and Greek language, both verbal and written
-
Knowledge of any other language shall be considered an advantage)
