Our client a prominent confidential insurance company with a team of over 100 hundred employees and growing now have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Executive in Malta. The selected candidate will provide a professional and efficient service within the finance team and ideally have an accounting degree or ACCA qualifications. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle full set of account; prepare cash flow forecast, budget, and financial and management reports.
  • Perform day-to-day finance operations like General Ledger, Account Payable & Account Receivables functions.
  • Initiate continuous improvement e.g. accuracy and efficiency, internal control, cost control/saving, tax saving, accounting process and procedures, management and financial analysis report, workflow, documentation of accounting record, filing etc.
  • Maintenance of accounting records of Companies under her responsibilities using SQL Accounting Software System.
  • responsible for monthly management report and other financial matters.
  • manage cash flow efficiently and liaise with banker on banking matters.
  • maintain proper accounting policies and internal control procedures.
  • ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness and data integrity of all financial data.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other professionals to ensure compliance on all matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirement.
  • Prepared payment to vendor and manage online banking matter.
  • Account/bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Assist supporting documents compilation and submission.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements, financial analysis and performance review including review and verification to ensure accuracy and compliance with group policies and reporting requirements.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities which the superior may assign from time to time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Hold a first degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Have previous work experience in a Finance Department.
  • Possess excellent IT skills, particularly with MS Excel.
  • A flexible team player with strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Maltese.
