A pan-European technology investment firm are working with GRS to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant for their Nicosia office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate or group accounting with strong knowledge of IFRS. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for all things related to corporate accounting, such as managing financial records, budgeting, or forecasting. The role will also require co-ordination with investment, fund finance, tax, investor relations teams as well as administrators, auditors & other external service providers. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reconciliation of cash transactions of companies under supervision.

Maintenance of accounting records of companies under direct supervision, aligning those with external service providers.

Preparation of various financial reports upon request.

Support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.

Support year-end audit processes in collaboration with the team, clients, administrators, and auditors.

Participation in budgeting process.

Manage routine and ad-hoc client and / or senior management specific requests.

Establishment of additional internal controls for companies under direct supervision.

Continuous improvement and automation of accounting and treasury processes in the company.

Assessment of current processes in order to permanently improve the status quo when useful.

Oversee the processing of invoices controlling, payments execution , and reconciliation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience ( Corporate, Financial, Group Accounting experience is

desirable).

Profound knowledge of IFRS (with German GAAP knowledge as an additional advantage).

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Basic understanding of ERP systems.

Basic understanding of tax laws and regulations in EU.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with wider internal & external stakeholders.

Fluent business English. German is a plus.
