A dynamic international investment firm are working with GRS to recruit a Senior IT Support to join their team in Limassol. The successful candidate should have at least 2-5 years of experience and sound knowledge of administrating Windows and Linux hybrid network environments. If you have the necessary skills and experience, then an attractive remuneration package will be offered for this Limassol based Senior IT Support role.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade, user computer hardware components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Maintain and support Server and Network related hardware, working knowledge of Hardware Administration (Servers physical hardware, network switches and storage enclosures)
  • Managing and Supporting Office 365 environment, Installing and configuring, provisioning, maintaining, and supporting users regarding office 365 environment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Assist with maintaining documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including working knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • System Administration and IT certifications in CompTIA, Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, or other network related fields are to be considered a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience and Sound knowledge of administrating Windows Server environments and / or Linux system administration experience.
  • Experience with Cloud services (Azure, Office 365)
  • Working knowledge of helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including working knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, VMWare, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
