An international company with offices in Cyprus is working with GRS Recruitment to hire a Senior Legal Officer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy in alignment with its overall business objectives.

Provide strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors on a variety of legal matters.

Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations and proactively advise on potential impacts.

Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
-
Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize complex contracts between the company’s and its clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.

Develop strategies to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting the company’s interests.

Advise on matters related to board meetings, shareholder relations, and regulatory filings.

Lead the Legal Department of the company.

Provide guidance on ethical standards and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and other relevant parties.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Law
-
Member of the Bar Association
-
Previous working experience in leadership roles within international companies is a must.

Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and legal teams.

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams with international and multicultural backgrounds.

Be up to date with the international laws and regulations.

Ability to handle a plethora of complex projects at the same time while meeting strict deadlines.

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
