An international company with offices in Cyprus is working with GRS Recruitment to hire a Senior Legal Officer. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy in alignment with its overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors on a variety of legal matters.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations and proactively advise on potential impacts.
  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize complex contracts between the company’s and its clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting the company’s interests.
  • Advise on matters related to board meetings, shareholder relations, and regulatory filings.
  • Lead the Legal Department of the company.
  • Provide guidance on ethical standards and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and other relevant parties.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Member of the Bar Association
  • Previous working experience in leadership roles within international companies is a must.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and legal teams.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams with international and multicultural backgrounds.
  • Be up to date with the international laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle a plethora of complex projects at the same time while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
