GRS Recruitment is excited to introduce a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our client, Columbia Group based in Limassol. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced business professional to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and product management, a passion for optimizing maritime operations with technology and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment. The successful candidate will help refine the company's business models and product portfolio of managed services and platform offerings that will provide direction and scope for the sales & delivery teams; whilst also acting as a leader of the organization’s product-centric operating model.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product & Portfolio Vision: Define and communicate Group's product portfolio vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s vision.
  • Customer Focus: Apply user centric design practices and engage directly with customers to learn the business domains and gather insights that will help to validate the desirability & affordability of Group's offerings.
  • System of Work: Lead the teams to establish a product-centric operating model and adopt new processes & governance within a Product development framework.
  • Build the team: Contribute to organization capability building and establishing the practice of Product Management with new and existing team members alike.
  • Economic impact: Work with architects and product owners to collect costs and prioritize investments according to revenue projections and forecasts that ensure Group operates as a profitable business.
  • Market Insights: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics that will support technology selection, partnership and acquisition decision making.
  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, working closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams.
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features and improvements based on customer feedback and business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product alignment and success.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage product budgets and resources to maximize impact.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Attributes: Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment – willing to go beyond the boundaries of the title and do what’s needed to deliver outcomes.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of product management experience, leading a Product line or Product Portfolio; track record of introducing new Products to market and growing market share of existing offerings.
  • Certifications: Product Management and relevant business domain certifications are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the maritime industry in areas such as PMS, navigation equipment, Fuel Management Systems and Maritime Communication (V-Sat, FBB, Iridium, LEO) are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with adjacent Maritime industries are also an advantage, such as insurance & finance, port infrastructure, logistics & supply chain, telecommunications) and emerging technology trends.
