GRS are working with one of Malta’s globally renowned Financial Services organization companies who are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Accountant for their Malta-based office. The ideal candidate will form part of the Firm’s Tax department team and report to the department Manager/ Partner. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing and reviewing client tax computations and completing tax returns

Preparation and reviewing of VAT Returns

Reconciliations
-
Registering clients for tax or VAT purposes

Applying for stamp duty exemptions
-
Preparation of tax refund claims, shareholder registration forms and other related documents

Preparation of tax and stamp duty forms in connection with alterations in share capital of companies

Completing VAT recap statements
-
Attending client meetings
-
Tax and VAT advisory

Involved in training of new members of staff

Liaising regularly with Tax and VAT officials at the inland revenue department and vat department on behalf of clients
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
A team player and self-motivated.

An analytical mind as well as an eye for detail.

Possess excellent English spoken and report writing skills, are computer literate, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

A fully qualified accountant (holder of a master’s in accountancy from the University of Malta or equivalent, or ACCA qualified).

Proven experience in a tax or VAT environment

Holder of an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation/Diploma in VAT/Diploma in TAX will be considered an asset.
