MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, leading, organizing and controlling the Training Department
-
Evaluating, planning and executing training projects
-
Ensuring that in-house courses are continuously analyzed and updated in line with industry requirements and international regulations

Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement
-
Overseeing and managing training budgets
-
Maintaining regular contact with appropriate training facilities and evaluating training providers
-
Ensuring that training centres and courses are being evaluated
-
Development of muster list for cruise vessels
-
Development of safety management software, competency matrix and contingency manual for cruise vessels
-
As required deliver on board training for cruise vessel clients
-
Ensuring that non-conformities, observations and customer complaints are investigated and timely followed-up
-
Implementing the Company’s Management System including development of new or the amendments to existing procedures
-
Supporting crewing superintendents and other departments for the verification and monitoring of crew certificates
-
Monitoring industry regulations and communicating new training requirements to all parties concerned
-
Overseeing the cadet program including selection and recruitment of new cadets in co-operation with the cadetship coordinator

In port manning management for cruise ships
-
Management of the CBT (LMS) and main contact with One Learn Global
-
Support CCS with cruise position interviews
-
Advise on cruise training costs to clients
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Seagoing experience in a management position, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than five years
-
Experience in cruise and or passenger vessel training management and design
-
A good command of the English language
-
Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
-
Conversant with applicable international and national rules and regulations
-
Sufficient experience and knowledge in course designing
-
Qualified Trainer as per IMO model course 6.09
