One of the largest Wealth Management firms in Malta is looking for a Senior Trust Officer to join their team. You will be responsible for a designated portfolio of trusts and companies, ensuring that clients receive a high level of quality service in all aspects of their dealings with the Company. The role will also include building relationships with clients and Partners, internal and external, Client Solicitors, Will and Estate Planners and take direction from the Trust Directors with limited supervision. Ideally you will have attained STEP certification and have at least 3 years’ experience in the administration of trust and corporate structures/dealing with HNWI in a private banking/fiduciary environment. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain personal contact with clients, advisors and other related parties
  • various aspects of administration including: setting up trusts and companies, manage and develop a portfolio of trust & company structures,
  • Attend client meetings as required,
  • Prepare all meeting notes and complete any follow up action, prepare minutes and resolutions as required,
  • Complete annual reviews and clear any points arising from the review process,
  • Provide technical support and guidance to client and liaising with the Tax Advisory Team with respect to the tax position of Trust structures
  • Management, supervision and coordination of daily administration of trusts and companies including taking full responsibility with minimum supervision.
  • Taking fiduciary decisions on the instructions assigned within the guidelines provided by the company
  • Co-ordination of specific transactions with Investment house, lawyers, accountants and tax advisors.
  • Administrative overview and control of maintenance on client data including database reviews
  • Technical support of more junior team members
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • 3 years’ experience in the administration of trust and corporate structures/dealing with HNWI in a private banking/fiduciary environment
  • Legal background an advantage
  • Ideally, full member of STEP or equivalent professional qualification
