A long-standing group of companies operating among others in the FX, Financial Services, and Accounting industries, are working in partnership with GRS Recruitment to hire a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Larnaca based team on a hybrid model. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational well-being of the company’s products. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with software engineers to design and improve company’s systems and evaluate the performance of the systems through advanced monitoring and observability.

Troubleshoot reasons for malfunctions, support the team members by investigating misbehavior of the application, implement solutions and document them via a transparent and blameless postmortem.

Implement and maintain an intelligent monitoring, metrics and alerting system for the company’s services.

Take ownership, contribute your ideas and help the company stay one step ahead. You will be encouraged to challenge the company’s current processes and consider what they can do differently while always keeping business priorities and value creation in mind.

Spread the word and share knowledge among your colleagues in peer exchanges, guild meetings and meet-ups.

Be on a fully on-call program.

Be responsible for the production environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Experience with AWS ecosystem: CloudFormation, ECS, CloudFront, CodePipelines, Lambda functions etc.

Relevant industry experience working in the area of (agile) Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or Operations.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Good knowledge of shell scripting and Linux-based systems and tools.

Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Go (preferably), Java,
-
Kotlin, C or C++.

A pragmatic, value-oriented mindset to drive for results in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
