A leading IT software company based in the southern area of Malta is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join their team in Malta. You will support the Commercial Team in any pre-sales engagements with customers to help drive sales opportunities towards timely closure, through sound articulation of the value of a proposed solution, consistent follow-up and engagement in proof-of-concepts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the technology sector and within a commercial context and be proficient in platforms such as HPE, AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware and/or Cisco. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Possess and maintain a sound understanding of the technical solutions and its partners/vendors and be able to apply such knowledge to develop winning value propositions that effectively align such technologies to customers’ overall strategies and needs

Use effective planning and communication techniques to elicit and understand customer requirements

Design technically feasible solutions that match customers’ scenarios and align with industry standards and best practices and develop and deliver client-facing presentations, proposals, and documentation that provide strong value articulation of a proposed solution

Define statements-of-works and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and support to customers, in line with the customers’ expectations and committed SLAs

Report on the status of sales opportunities, POCs, implementation projects and support engagements as required, escalating potential issues to the attention of management in a timely manner

Build positive relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers by ensuring predictable and consistent interactions and providing guidance and recommendations on architecture, technologies and best practices

Develop an understanding of the company’s complementary service offerings and keep abreast with the latest trends within the technology sector
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Ideally have tertiary level qualification in IT, Engineering or technology-related subject

Have at least 5 years’ work experience in the technology sector and within a commercial context

Demonstrate sound knowledge of key technologies and platforms such as HPE, AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware and/or Cisco to be able to design technically feasible solutions in line with customer requirements

Be proficient articulating solutions based on the Microsoft M365 suite of services to help customers adopting a Digital Workplace environment

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Have strong prioritization skills to ensure achievement of yearly objectives

Act with integrity and honesty, knowing how to commit and deliver on promises
