Our client is a global multi-sport retailer dedicated to making sport accessible to everyone. The retailer is seeking to recruit a ‘Sports Equipment Technician’ based in Larnaca. The successor of this position will play a key role in ensuring our sports equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, assembling, and repairing sports equipment while delivering excellent service to our customers and teammates. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect, assemble, maintain, and repair a wide range of sports equipment (mainly Bicycles)
  • Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct regular safety checks to ensure equipment meets the company’s quality and safety standards.
  • Support customers by providing technical advice, product knowledge, and after-sales service.
  • Manage tools, spare parts, and workshop organization to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Record maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Collaborate with store teammates to meet operational and customer service goals.
  • Promote sustainable practices by extending product life through repair and reuse when possible.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Technical aptitude with mechanical, electrical, or sports equipment systems.
  • Previous experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or a technical role (sports industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new sports technologies and repair techniques.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle sports equipment as required.
  • Certification or training in mechanical, electrical, or technical fields.
  • Passion for sports and active lifestyle.
  • Experience working in a retail or service environment.
