Our client, a leading Corporate Services company based in Malta, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Human Resources, the successful candidate will focus primarily on headhunting and direct sourcing, identifying and engaging professionals who match the Group’s recruitment needs. The role will also involve developing recruitment partnerships, support candidate assessment and coordinating the recruitment process through to job offer.

Develop a strong understanding of the Group’s business, service lines and organisational culture to identify candidates with the appropriate technical expertise, commercial understanding and approach;

Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand role requirements, agree on candidate profiles and establish sourcing priorities;

Proactively headhunt candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, industry research, referrals and other relevant channels, with particular emphasis on engaging passive talent;

Map relevant talent pools and build relationships with prospective candidates for current and anticipated recruitment needs;

Prepare tailored outreach messages and maintain consistent follow-up to generate interest in career opportunities within the Group;

Research potential collaborations with job boards, career portals, advertising and recruitment agencies, and social media platforms, negotiating proposed terms and packages for approval in line with recruitment budgets and internal procedures;

Identify and develop relationships with educational institutions, universities, professional bodies, student organisations and other relevant entities to support recruitment partnerships and talent pipelines;

Propose recruitment campaigns and initiatives to strengthen the Group’s visibility as an employer, collaborating with Marketing on recruitment content, targeted advertising and social media activities;

Conduct pre-interview screening calls to assess candidates’ suitability, expectations and availability, and prepare concise summaries highlighting strengths, potential gaps and interview discussion points;

Coordinate and participate in first-stage interviews alongside HR or hiring managers, collect structured feedback and contribute to candidate assessments and shortlisting decisions;

Act as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely, professional and engaging communication;

Coordinate job offers in collaboration with the Senior Manager – Human Resources and draft employment contracts;

Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records within the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring data integrity, confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and applicable data protection and fair hiring requirements;

Prepare recruitment reports and activity updates covering vacancies, sourcing activity, candidate pipelines, screening and interview outcomes, time-to-fill, source-of-hire and recruitment expenditure;

Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment channels, partnerships and campaigns, recommending improvements to attract suitable candidates and strengthen direct hiring; Identify and implement improvements to recruitment workflows, ATS usage and the candidate experience under the guidance of the Senior Manager;

Support other recruitment and HR initiatives relevant to the role as may be reasonably required.

A minimum of two years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or headhunting, gained within an agency or in-house environment;

Proven experience in proactively identifying, approaching and engaging passive candidates through direct sourcing methods;

A qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Marketing or a related field would be considered an asset;

Experience recruiting within corporate services, financial services, legal, accounting or other professional services sectors would be considered an asset;

Proficiency in LinkedIn sourcing tools and Microsoft Office; experience using a job boards, an ATS and maintaining recruitment data would be considered an asset;

Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the Group’s services and translate hiring requirements into targeted sourcing strategies;

Confidence in conducting screening calls, participating in interviews and preparing clear, objective candidate summaries;

Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess recruitment partnerships and negotiate commercially suitable terms;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare engaging outreach messages, accurate documentation and professional reports;

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and maintain consistent follow-through;

Sound judgement, discretion and an understanding of confidentiality, data protection and fair recruitment practices.
