Our client, one of the leading Financial Advisory Service Companies in Malta are looking for a Tax Analyst to join their growing team within their Tax Department. Our Client is a well-established multi-disciplinary company providing services as diverse as Tax, Accounting & Bookkeeping to legal and corporate services.  The ideal candidate will have some experience and understanding of Taxation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparing and File Tax Returns - Tax analysts prepare all tax returns and review the documents for accuracy. And file tax returns before tax deadlines.
  • Preparing Quarterly Tax Payments- in relation to provisional taxes.
  • Making Recommendations - Tax analysts make recommendations about tax returns regarding tax breaks, expenses, deductions, and other ways to save on tax payments.
  • Staying Updated on Tax Law - Tax analysts, keep up to date on all tax laws and changes.
  • Making Calculations - Tax analysts calculate taxes owed, savings gained through deductions, and expenses that affect final tax estimates.
  • Review tax computations – which are made by other colleagues.
  • Preparation of Tax schedules for Share transfers / Allotments.
  • Other tax related work.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • To be successful in this role you will need to already have some experience and understanding of Taxation.
  • Education: you need to be halfway through ACCA or fully qualified (ACCA or University of Malta) or MIT qualification.
  • Ambitious and a self-starter with an analytical mind and attention to detail. Willing to progress and learn.
