Malta’s largest legal firm is looking for a Tax Officer to strengthen their Residency team in Malta. The main purpose of the role is to provide support in guiding high net worth clients through the process of applying for residence in Malta, together with handling annual obligations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Office, CRM database and information systems and experience in Tax is highly advantageous. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guide clients through the whole process of preparing documentation, applying for residence, file submission and card collection

Assist clients with the process of tax registration and annual obligations including tax return preparation and compliance documentation submission where applicable

Liaise with local immigration and tax authorities, on behalf of clients

Issue and sending bills as required

Organize tax payments and personal tax return submissions on behalf of clients

Collect and give administrative support in relation to tax residence certificate applications

Update the company database with all the records relating to requests, updating interactions, as per company procedures

Assist with the preparation of reports and projects as required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Office, CRM database and information systems
- Willing and quick to learn
- Mature and independent
- Previous tax experience considered an asset
- Client oriented and problem-solving approach
- Organized
- Experience in dealing with clients
