A leading Corporate Service firm is looking for a Tax Supervisor to join their accounting team in Malta. You will lead the Tax Compliance team on various fronts, both in terms of responsibility for a portfolio of clients as well as in providing guidance to the rest of the team on the technical front. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant having a minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in this sector while being in possession of the professional certificate in taxation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the Tax Compliance team on various fronts, both in terms of responsibility for a portfolio of clients as well as in providing guidance to the rest of the team on the technical front.

Sign off on work done for more complex clients by other members of the team while also being involved in the process and acting as a referral point for more junior members of the team.

Be co-responsible for the quality and assurance of the department, ensuring that it is functioning efficiently and effectively and that work is well distributed. Reporting to management regularly as well as attending meeting with clients.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Must have strong leadership and soft skills and be able to work on thier own initiative.

A fully qualified accountant having a minimum of four to five years’ experience in this sector while being in possession of the professional certificate in taxation.

Candidates not in possession of the professional certificate in taxation, should have adequate experience and should be willing to undertake this certification if needed.

Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook is required

Excellent communication skills especially in English, both verbally and written.
