A leading IT firm is looking for a Technical Engineer to join their team in Malta. The main purpose of this role is to provide hardware and software support to clients. The ideal candidate will have acquired a minimum of a diploma in an IT-related course, ideally holding certifications or experience in Dell, Cisco or similar technologies.   • Provide hardware support to our end clients, including the below:
    • Troubleshooting PC and laptop faults.
    • Handling of server, desktop and laptop repairs.
    • Troubleshoot mainstream platforms such as Windows, Mac and Linux.
    • Help with Cisco and Dell network switches, routers and firewalls configurations and installations.
    • Support the Dell Warranty process handling, including managing the Dell Techdirect portal for spares and warranty parts. As well as administering supplier warranty returns.
    • Oversee the stock management of our 24X7 spares warehouse.
  • Provide Software Support to our end clients, including the below:
    • Monitor and maintain VMWare Vcentre and ESX hosts.
    • Install, configure and monitor Veeam and Networker backup solutions.
    • Monitor customer solutions using vRealise, Nagios, or Veeam One.
    • Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and creative individual. Someone who enjoys challenges, and is always willing to try new things - in both team and individual settings.
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining Dell EMC Storage, Dell Server, and desktop equipment.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Can communicate effectively, in both written and verbal English.
  • Certifications and experience in Dell, Cisco or similar technologies this is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of a diploma in an IT-related course.
  • Can learn and use new technologies. You will also be encouraged to obtain industrial certifications as required.
