A shipping company built on the values of humaneness, honesty, growth and flexibility are working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Technical Manager for their newly established Limassol office. The successful candidate will be an experienced Technical Manager from the Maritime sector with fluency in both Russian & English. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitoring of and abidance with the planned maintenance program among further key requirements as per Technical Management Procedure.
  • Budgeting, planning, coordination, execution and supervision of repair-, maintenance, and warranty works.
  • Monitoring and reporting costs and lubricating oil consumption associated with the technical
  • management of vessels (bulk carriers and containers).
  • Execution of negotiations with suppliers and vendors authorizing purchases of spare parts, services and consumables for the vessel within Technical Managers authority limit.
  • Maintaining assigned ships in Class. Monitoring the classification and statutory status of the vessel, advising the Shipmaster accordingly.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable national and international rules and regulations and the internal requirements of the Company.
  • Marine inspection, survey and vetting of vessels – incl. performance and efficiency improvement,evaluation of operations and work processes on board, condition documentation and follow up.
  • Providing technical and operational guidance and support to the Shipmaster, as required.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • At least 5 years sea service as Second / Chief Engineer or 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Excellent command of both Russian and English.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • To be able to demonstrate problem solving ability.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with a multicultural team and individuals at all levels within the group.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
