An international family office with offices in Limassol, are currently seeking to recruit a Trader. The successful candidate will be actively supporting the growing investment activities of the group. Reporting to the Company’s Management and liaising with team members on a local and international level, the Trader must have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and excellent communication skills. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct research and analysis on potential investment opportunities and assist the senior advisers on complex Equity/Fixed Income cases and elaborate investment case presentations. 
  • Participate in the regular internal investment meetings with both the international teams
  • Contribute to investment optimisation via the use of varied OTC derivative instruments
  • Contribute to the capital markets risk analysis, collateral optimization and monitoring, alongside providing consistent risk management views on investments
  • Send pricing requests and trade instructions to counterparties, monitor trade execution and post-trade processing on a wide array of assets
  • Follow multi-currency cash positions, elaborate cash flow forecasts and execute time deposits, FX swap, and cash management trades
  • Maintain Excel & Bloomberg Blotters/Valuation files/Risk management/reporting tools/market screening tools (Volatility)
  • Prepare internal memos on trades implemented, investment cases, position updates, risk metrics etc.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University graduate in Finance or related field. CFA program will be considered an important plus.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a reputable Investment/Private bank or an asset/wealth management company
  • Strong knowledge of different asset classes, financial instruments (especially derivatives) and execution techniques.
  • Advanced use of Excel (VBA a plus) and Bloomberg.
  • Fluency in English language at a professional level.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical investment ideas, trading and risk related issues.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to consistently high standards of work output.
