A global Medical Consultancy company is looking for a Training & Development Specialist to join their team in Malta. You will report to the General Manager and be responsible for developing the Training and Development activities of the company and coordinating the provision of these services. You should have experience in a similar role and great leadership skills. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledgeable on the skills set required by the Company’s medical teams and remote medics in general, to carry out their duties.
  • Identify training needs for medical teams
  • Research market demands for training for remote medics
  • Identify courses and CPD for development according to the identified needs and demands – both face-to-face and e-learning.
  • Highlight consultants needing development of identified courses and CPD and to lead and support the consultants in the development of the courses.
  • Establish and maintain accreditation of courses and CPD developed by the Company.
  • Lead the Company in establishing itself as an accredited training centre for industry standard courses, and maintain such accreditation
  • Undertake the development of a Faculty of Educators
  • Spearhead the development of the Company’s online Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain the LMS.
  • Support Educators in preparation of high-quality courses for upload into the LMS
  • Liaise with software development experts to prepare the courses for upload into the LMS in a professional and attractive format.
  • Enrol students in the courses (both face to face and e-learning), support and follow up, up to issue of certificates.
  • Work with the marketing department to prepare material for the promotion of the Company’s training activities.
  • Issue proposals for training, follow up and conclude up to successful delivery.
  • Represent the company in international fora related to Training and Development.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the market for training within our industry – new courses, new training methods and to make recommendations to the company.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, identifying new procedures which need to be set, or changes required to existing procedures and following up until proper execution.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Experience in a training & development role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including highly developed report writing skills and writing for education.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise the workload
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office; Word and excel
  • Ability to work in a team and individually
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and focus oriented
